Butterfly Unit
Room 201 at Crouse CLC, like many preschool classrooms harvested butterflies this Spring. Using a hands on approach, here are a few highlights:
On May 17th, our caterpillars made their cocoons’. On that same day we made cocoons’ out of Paper Mache and balloons.
Next we painted our cocoons.
Next we waited, and waited for our cocoons to open.
Then the day came when our butterflies emerged from their cocoons !!
We got to break open our cocoons that we made, and guess what was inside?
YES! A butterfly!
The day finally came to release our butterflies!
Our butterflies flew away to set forth on their new journey, just like most of us are moving onto Kindergarten!
